Hong Kong City Hall, Central |Hong Kong Sinfonietta — Great Piano Concertos: Martin Helmchen Plays Schumann
Description
With his exquisite and elegant playing style, German pianist Hermsen, who is highly praised by music critics around the world, will once again join hands with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Music Director Maestro Bo Peng to perform Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor with deep emotion. Schumann's short but passionate life was full of passion and persistence, and his music was filled with surging thoughts and brilliant melodies. This piano concerto, premiered by his beloved wife, pianist Clara, is a musical expression of his deep feelings for love and art. The concert program also includes Brahms's Third Symphony, which follows Schumann's romantic style and is both lyrical and poetic. In addition, the work "Water Lilies" by the famous Finnish composer Saraija will have its Asian premiere, showing the profound artistic conception and unique flowing texture of music through string music.
